You can’t beat returning to your own wedding venue and in my job I get to relive it a little through my clients big day! So I absolutely loved returning to Charlton House for Jenny and Paul’s wedding day on Saturday. I started the morning at Jenny’s parents house where she was adding the final touches to her look with the help of her bridesmaids and parents before taking the drive to Shepton Mallet. When I arrived Paul was in hiding, it was fair to say he was quite nervous and keen to get the ceremony underway. Once Jenny was by his side you could see him relax instantly and his smile said how pleased he was to have her by his side. The ceremony was lovely and after we headed into the hotel for drinks and canapes while we waited for the rain to clear. During some photo time we managed to get a family shot with Jenny and Paul’s two gorgeous children; Isabelle and Charlie. Charlie was the hardest to capture keeping me on my toes most of the day with his cheekiness!
After dinner the speeches took place; I love hearing stories of how the couple (in this case match.com) or childhood stories; Jenny’s Dad Les provided some great ones which had me laughing! The rain was having a break again so I took the couple off for a few more shots before the first dance took place; can’t beat Coldplay for your first dance song!
A huge thanks to the newly weds Mr and Mrs Hilling for letting me share the day with them and their friends and family for making me feel so welcome. Here are just a few from a brilliant day!
