So the hottest wedding of the year so far for me and the perfect weather for a chilled out marquee wedding near Wells. I met Jenny and Daniel a year ago and loved hearing about their plans for their day which would be based at their friends campsite; Greenacres Campsite, just outside of Wells ; somewhere that hold lots of great memories for them.
I arrived just a few fields up where Jenny and her family were getting ready at Barrow Farm, a very relaxed morning getting pampered and everyone enjoying cuddles and entertainment from their beautiful boy Wilbur. An hour to go I caught the vintage bus with the guests and travelled into the centre of Wells to the Town Hall for the ceremony. After the newly weds came out to a shower of confetti and bubbles, we then took a walk through the market round to Bishops Palace; the town was super busy and the couple got lots of cheers and congrats as we walked along the waters edge which was lovely.
Heading back to the campsite everyone enjoyed Cider and Pimms in the glorious sunshine while enjoying music from Dirty Weekend band. I know this was just what Jenny and Daniel had imagined for their big day so it was lovely to see the kids playing, having fun and adults just relaxing and taking in the sun. A perfectly planned BBQ took place after the speeches followed by the yummy wedding cake for dessert made by Jenny’s amazing Mum Barbra.
Once the Dirty Weekend Band started again for the couples first dance everyone danced on the floor and in the fields; I’m sure until very late! A massive thank you to Jenny and Daniel and their family; particularly all their parents who made me feel so welcome. Here are just a few from an incredible scorcher of a day!
