So after a long break at the start of 2018, it finally kicked off with the beautiful wedding of Amy and Ashley . . . my 3rd Patch family wedding, I’m part of the family now! The morning started with Amy getting ready with her bridesmaids and Mum, she looked beautiful when it was finally time to step in to her gown with lace detail. I knew there would be a few tears as she made her way down the stairs to greet her Dad Steve and the bridesmaids; she looked incredible. Over in the rustic barn Ashley awaited his bride to be, he seemed a little nervous but before nerves really had time to kick in Amy walked down the aisle; I’m pretty sure he didn’t watch the bridesmaids entrance as he knew emotions would get the better of him! The ceremony was perfect (slight issue from the registrar on the wrong page), however Amy got the giggles quite a lot and her beautiful smile just made everyone smile with her.
We headed outside for possibly the quickest photos ever due to the bitter cold; who would think it’s nearly April! Amy then stuck on her wellie boots and we took a muddy walk over to the tree and swing; got to love a practical and prepared bride! It was SO cold I was so proud of both of them for braving the elements with me! Just before dinner was served 3 perfect speeches took place; just the right amount of humour along with some heartfelt moments for the newly weds. The Shoo Flies proved the live music and I loved Amy and Ashley’s routine to their first dance; it was amazing and a great surprise for everyone!
A huge congrats to the new Mr and Mrs Mexson; here are just a few from a fab day!
