A Chic Military Wedding at St Audries Park

Jodie Hurd

When I first met Charlton and Sam I knew their day would be one to remember! Charlotte and I had spoke before about the couples love for Lord of the Rings and that her veil and bridal look was inspired by Arwen; when her final look came together she looked truly stunning and I knew the veil was her favourite item so capturing her in it was so important.

Their wedding day took place at St Audries Park in Somerset, a stunning grade 2 listed building with a Castle feel and the most stunning Orangery for ceremonies. Sam and a lot of his wedding party looks smart in their military uniform, and the guard of honour and regiment band added a great touch to the day.

Come the evening the part was ready! Charlotte and Sam didn’t want a first dance song so the band welcomed everyone onto the dance floor in the great hall at St Audries Park to join in with one of the couples favourite songs, such a great way to avoid the first dance but get the dance floor going! A huge thank you to this wonderful couple and their friends and family for making me feel so very welcome; such an honour to capture!
