What your natural summer wedding photographs could look like at St Audries Park, Somerset

I absolutely love summer weddings photographs at St Audries Park in Somerset, to be fair, I love it all year round, however for me, the grounds are truly alive during the summer months.

This stunning manor house is set in a large country estate within Somerset; as you drive up to the house, passing the deers grazing in the field, it sets the tone for the most elegant and timeless wedding day.

The Victorian light-filled Orangery is truly the most incredible space to get married. Any time of year, this unique location has the most stunning light, truly! There isn’t an angle or space in the orangery that gives a bad photograph (if only every venue had that kind of light!). As you head outside it offers the perfect backdrop for confetti as you walk down the steps to the cheers from loved ones.

In the summer months the grounds are in full bloom, amongst the beautiful flower beds and the backdrop of the manor house is truly the most magical place for a wedding drinks reception. Imagine the warm sun, cocktails and guests playing croquet on the lawn, while the grounds are large this area will contain all your guests together keeping a good atmosphere and making it easy for you to mingle. This sets the tone for your day and creates summer wedding photographs of all your loved ones having the best time.

Couples wedding photographs are a dream at St Audries Park. During the summer, the front of the large castle is like a manor house, covered in rich green Ivy. I just love the tones of the warm brick work and the green together.

I often shoot at the front of the house to start with away from guests, giving my couples time just the two of them (and me!). As friends and family are invited in for dinner, we move around to the lawns to capture moments outside of the Orangery and by the fountain. Every angle is picturesque and your summer wedding photographs will be beautiful.

The sunlight at St Audries Park wraps around the whole front of the building across the day and into the evening it sets by the fields offering a different set of couples images later in the day.

It truly is a unique venue and a very popular one in Somerset and the types of images you can create here I feel are a huge selling point for couples when they look around.
